In two centuries a small oil mill has developed into the large international concern, stably keeping positions of the in the lead manufacturer of paint-and-lacquer materials on the domestic market. In Finland Tikkurila covers 60 % of home market, and already 75 % of the turnover of the concern are created out of Finland.

Today the concern Tikkurila is included into the ten the largest manufacturers of paint-and-lacquer materials in Europe. Paint-and-lacquer materials are manufactured by the concern in 13 countries, and are on sale practically worldwide. Materials are developed taking into account the specificity of the concrete applications: elegant coverings for covering of living-rooms, safe and wearproof for the nurseries, easily cleaned for kitchens, weatherproof materials for wooden and stone facades, roofs, bases. The assortment is the broadest and a choice of colours — unlimited.

Tikkurila guarantees to the consumers high quality, responsibility for production, ecological safety. Quality, both of products and the concern servicing is checked up and confirmed by the great number of the received international certificates: according to the international standard ISO 9001, ISO 14001, the ecological certificate of the European Community, EMAS.

Except preservation of the environment in its activity Tikkurila strictly observes requirements of public health services and safety of consumers of the paint, peoples who are in painted premises, and the production process. These principles are the bases of the program of Tikkurila and results of the carried out actions are reflected in annual ecological reports of the firm.
