Bridges and metal constructions

Company Silta-Color offers pains developed by the plant EmLak  to protect newly built and repaired bridges, road barriers and other metal structures against corrosion.

Suggested LMC and system of coverings were tested in the institutions of the railway line and road transport (VNII ZHT and CNIIS) for areas of temperate and cold climate, and added to in SRT 001-2006.

The main drawback of traditional materials is the low coating thickness — 18-30MKM in one layer. To exclude this deficiency plant “EmLak” produces single enamel type “Emakout 7320”, providing the thickness of the dry layer 80 microns.

Advantages:

• single, do not require special preparations;
• easily applied in any manner;
• duration of drying, approximately 1 hour at a temperature (15-20)°C;
• good adhesion to metals;
• with the possibility of negative temperatures (up to minus 15 ° C);
• enamel “Emakout 7320 Railway” and “Emakout 7320” for the surface with a high degree of cleaning can be applied without primers, enamels can be any color.

Emlak systems of coatings were successfully tested in the JSC “CNIIS”. Application on surfaces previously primed by Stelpaint-Pu-Zink is allowed.

For the tests the following systems of coatings were taken:

• “Primer-Zinc 80 mm”;
• “Emakout 5335 150 mm”;
• “Ematop 50 mm”;
• “Emakout in 7320” — 180mkm;
• Stelpaint-Pu-Zink — 80mkm;
• “Emakout 5335” — 150mkm.

Tested Systems of coatings for protection against corrosion of metal and the bridge span correspond to the requirements of GOST 9.401-91 and provide atmosphere resistance in conditions of temperate and cold climates at least 15 years.
To protect the railroad bridge metal EmLak offers a modern high-tech enamel “Emakout 7320ZHD”.

Coatings based on enamel “Emakout 7320ZHD” were tested in VNIIZHT and are recommended for protection of steel structures, including engineering structures exposed to aggressive chemical products and operated in an open atmosphere.

System of coatings for railway bridges:

• enamel “Emakout 7320ZHD” Layer 3 x (50-70) mm;
• enamel “Emakout 7320ZHD” 1 layer x (50-70) mm;
• Enamel “HV-16” 2 layers x (25-30) microns.

Application of enamel Emakout 7320ZHD will:

• increase the lifetime of the protective coating to 10-15 years (depending on operating conditions);
• the possibility of making major layers of coatings in  the functional conditions;
• reduce the cost of the paint shop work (reducing the number of layers);
• minimize costs in the manufacture of paint work on the bridges (reduced number of layers);
• reduce process cycle time due to rapid drying of enamels;
• with the possibility of negative temperatures;
• reduction in the nomenclature of coatings.

The use of the materials can significantly speed up the paint work through quick drying capabilities and performance of their factory.

Materials has successfully passed the technological test and are used by the JSC “Ulan UdeStalmost”, LLC “Energoprojekt-Stalkonstruktsiya”, “Lenstroymontazh”, “Dalmostostroi” and others.
